Creating Macros

Macros save commands to a named location so you can reuse the commands later, without re-entering them. If you have a repetitive task to perform, a macro might be a good way to perform that task.

For example, to facilitate viewing a chart on an strip consisting of the 3 near-term S&P 500 futures contracts. you could create a macro.

To create a macro

1.  Click the Setup button.

2.  Select Customize Toolbar.

3.  Select Add/Remove button in the Macros row.

4.  Click New.

5.  Enter a button name in the Button Name box.

6.  Enter the command represented by the button.

7.  Select any additional keystrokes: Carriage Return, Ctrl + Enter (for entering data in a quote spreadsheet), or None.
