Adding External Orders

The New External Order page allows you to enter an order not placed using the CQG Gateway. This order is not routed, but is recorded so that you have a complete picture of risk. This order must be at least partially filled. You can also close a position this way.

Orders for futures, options, fixed income, cash, and equities can be entered on this page.

For correct risk calculations, it is crucial that the Gateway accurately reflects an account's previous day statement position and current day fills.

To add an external order

1.  Go to Customer Service > New External Order.

2.  Enter a symbol in the Contract field. If you need help formatting a symbol, click the question mar for examples.

3.  Select the side.

4.  Select the order type.

5.  Enter the quantity.

6.  Enter the price without decimal places.

7.  Enter the date or click the calendar icon to choose the date.

8.  Enter the time.

9.  Click Add Fill. The order is displayed to the right.

10. Click Save.

 

To remove all fills, click the Remove All button.

To remove a single fill, click the Remove button.
