Emergency Controls

The Emergency Controls page is used in the event you need to cancel any or all unexecuted (working) orders immediately as an emergency measure. Access the page from the Utilities menu found in the top right-hand corner of the browser:

.

This page was created in response to MiFID II kill functionality requirements.

You can cancel working orders by:

      FCM

      Sales Series

      Customer

      Account

      Route Group

      Trader

      Contract/Symbol

      Algorithm (MiFIDAlgoID)

Additionally, you can further define the scope of the request by:

Buy or sell. Both is the default.

      Parked only.

      Current day only.

When you send the cancel request, you are asked to confirm this action. Please take special care in reviewing the criteria, as this action has significant consequences that cannot be undone.

The cancellation process can take several seconds depending on the number of orders to cancel.

When the orders have been cancelled, you are provided a summary, including the number of orders cancelled and possible errors. You can later search for cancelled orders using the Batch Request GUID, which is provided on the confirmation page.

To cancel orders as an emergency measure

1.  Click Utilities, then click Emergency Controls to open the page. FCM is automatically selected. You must specify an FCM.

2.  Type some part of the FCM Name or FCM ID in the search field.

3.  Optionally, select a value to search by.

4.  Click the Search button. FCMs that meet the search criteria are listed.

5.  Click the Add or Add All button to include the FCM or all FCMs in the cancellation criteria.

6.  Optionally, restrict the criteria by side, parked status, or current day.

7.  As necessary, follow the same procedure for sales series, customer, account, route group, trader, contract, and algorithms.

8.  When you have selected the cancellation criteria from all categories, click the Send Cancel Request button.

9.  Review the details, then click the Confirm button.

10. When the cancellation request has been completed, the Batch Request GUID is provided for you. Use that ID to search for the orders that were cancelled as part of this action.
