Sending Messages to Traders

Gateway Administrators and FCM Administrators (see CAST users) can broadcast messages to traders. These messages are displayed directly on trader screens.

Go to Utilities > Client Messaging to open the Client Messaging tool.

These settings determine which traders receive your message.

Description

Select Traders

Options:

      All Traders

      All Traders Currently Logged On

      Selected Traders. Used with Logon Status, FCM, Route Group, Routes, and Location

Logon Status

Available when Select Traders = Selected Traders

Options:

      Currently Logged On

      Users Logged On Today = at any time during the current day

      Within 2 Days = at any time during the last two days

      Within 3 Days = at any time during the last three days

      Within 4 Days = at any time during the last four days

      Within 5 Days = at any time during the last five days

      Within 6 Days = at any time during the last six days

FCM

Your FCM name

Route Group

Available when Select Traders = Selected Traders

Select All Route Groups or a single group.

Routes

Available when Select Traders = Selected Traders

Options depend on selection in Route Group.

Clear the ALL check box to make individual selections.

Locations

Available when Select Traders = Selected Traders

Clear the ALL check box to make individual selections.

Select Platform

Select one, some, or all platforms.

Gateway Administrators only.

Sender

Options:

      Customer Service = generic moniker

      Specify sender = type a name or leave blank to use the CAST user first and last names.

Severity

Options:

      General Information

      Critical Error

      Warning

Subject

Type a subject

Expiration

Determines how long this message is active.

Text

Type your message.

 

After making your selections, click the Send Msg button.
