Setting Trader-Level Risk Parameters

This page is used to set risk parameters for Order Handlers. Risk limits and parameters that apply at the trader level are:

      trade size limit

      trade margin limit

      margin subsystem

      liquidation only

      commodity position limit

      contract position limit

      margin multiplier

Note: These settings do not override omnibus account parameters. They can, however, override account settings for regular and group accounts.

Orders placed by Order Handlers are evaluated using these customizable and non-customizable (fixed) limit and parameter values:

Allowable Margin Credit = account setting unless trader-level parameter is not enforced

Allow GoFlat request = account setting

      Buy/Sell Options = all

Check for the negative balance = account setting

Commodity Position Limit = trader-level setting, default = not enforced

Contract Position Limit = trader-level setting, default = not enforced

Daily Loss Limit = not enforced

Delta Daily Loss Limit = not enforced

Disable using Bid/Ask prices in NOV = account setting

Disable using Bid/Ask prices in OTE = account setting

Enable cross-margining = account setting unless trader-level parameter is not enforced

Include NOV in PP = account setting

Include OTE in DLL/DDLL = n/a (DLL/DDLL are not enforced)

Include OTE in PP = account setting

Include UPL in DLL/DDLL = n/a (DLL/DDLL are not enforced)

Liquidation Only = trader-level setting, default = no

Reject Risky Market Orders = not enforced

      Trade Futures = yes

To set risk parameters for Order Handler

1.  Select Enforced, Not enforced, or Use Account Setting from the trade size limit menu.

Enforced = tells the system to use the specified trade size limit value.

Not enforced = tells the system to ignore this parameter.

Use Account Setting = tells the system to use the account’s trade size limit if that limit is enforced.

2.  Do the same for trade margin limit.

3.  Select an enforcement level for margin subsystem.

4.  Enter a multiplier value that will be used in required margin calculations.
