The ‘*’ symbol in SecurityId<48> tag of Instrument component block is used to specify a security status request for all securities. The ‘*’ symbol cannot be used within a security specification to request securities starting with, ending with or containing alphanumeric combinations such as ‘AB*’, ‘*AB’ or ‘A*B’.
