This function is available on the Add Study window (BarIdx) and in the Formula Toolbox (BarIx).
Bar Index displays the number of bars, of the designated interval, which have occurred up to the selected time for a particular day. For example, each day at 2:30, on a 30-minute S&P 500 bar chart, the Bar Index shows a value of 12, indicating there have been 12 30-minute bars up to that time.

Opens a sub-window with properties for overbought and oversold indicators. • Color = Select a line color. • Weight = Type a value for line thickness. • Type = Select fixed or dynamic. • Std Dev = Choose a multiplier of the Standard Deviation used to derive high and low. • Lookback = Choose the number of bars that should be compared to the current bar. • Level = Assign a percentage value of average OB/OS to be used to calculate predictor OB/OS levels. • Display = Click this check box to display the line on the chart. • Style = Choose a line style: line, long dash, or short dash. |
