Care orders are generally used for in-house matching of orders. These orders are parked on CQG’s trading gateway and not immediately sent to the exchange.
Once enabled for this order type by a broker, the trader can place only care orders until the enablement is turned off. While the enablement is turned on, any order the trader places is marked as a care order.
Care orders are displayed on the Orders and Positions Parked window. When a strategy care order has been placed, the leg orders are displayed. Add the Care Fill column to the window to see the identifier used to highlight care orders.
Once care orders are placed, they are reviewed by an in-house reviewer and either activated or filled.
Previously parked orders cannot be filled as care orders. If a reviewer activates a previously parked order, it is not activated but changed to a care order.
Existing care orders remain care orders when the enablement is turned off. These orders can be activated.
Traders can cancel care orders but not modify them.
