Charts are tabbed windows. By default, the chart tab bar is hidden. It is exposed when the mouse cursor hovers at the top of the chart just below the title bar.
If you don’t want the bar to be hidden automatically, right-click it, then click Auto-hide tab bar to clear the check mark. The tab bar is then statically displayed. Remove the toolbar entirely by clicking Hide tab bar. Show it again in the same way. These options are also available on the chart’s right-click menu.
Only the chart on the visible tab continues actively updating, so system resources are not impacted by tabbed charts. Additionally, because other tabs are in a sort of sleep mode, they update quickly when you switch to them.
Note: When using pointer tools, auto-hide is automatically disabled to allow you to place tools near the toolbar region without the toolbar being in your way.
Work with tabbed chart windows the same as you would with any chart. Symbol, chart type, interval, studies, conditions, pointer tools, cursors, trading systems, and accounts can be different for each tab.
