A separate Help system is available to subscribers of DeMark Analytics.
DeMark Analytics are composed of three levels of market timing or chart analysis. The basic and most widely used approach is the most subjective. It involves a quickly reviewing a chart and the drawing conclusions, based upon your perception of the price activity. This approach involves a lot of guesswork and is, therefore, prone to the user's whims, predispositions, and biases, which can overwhelm logical timing decisions, and lead to failure.
Level 2 analysis applies the use of indicators designed to guide the analyst. Specifically, you can follow the indicators based upon their historical ability to correctly identify market price reversals. Ideally, past tendencies will repeat in the future. The difficulty with this approach is discerning the usefulness of an assortment of market timing indicators and, once selected, to apply them with a degree of discipline and consistency.
Level 3 analysis uses indicators, systematically applying them in a decision-making process. This approach is hard and fast and requires not only discipline but also money management skills.
The goal of the DeMark Analytics studies is to equip you with the necessary foundation and tools to satisfy Level 2. This should enable you to navigate the markets successfully and, with more experience and confidence, hopefully you will be able to master level 3.
