Equalize sessions charts adjust the values of all the previous sessions to reflect the opening of the current session. For example, if the opening for the current bar is up ½ from the close of the previous bar, then all the values for the previous bar are adjusted up ½. Likewise, this adjustment will reverberate back to all the previous bars, which are adjusted upward by ½.
These charts can help traders find events with large gaps between the last day closing price and the opening price, as in this example:
