Managing Toolbars

The Toolbar Manager is used to:

      select the toolbars to display

      select the buttons to display on the application toolbar (Chart, Quote, News…)

      select the buttons to display on the various system-wide toolbars (Utility, Communications, System, System Monitor, Pages, and Macros)

      select the buttons to display on active window toolbars (Chart, Options, Quote Board, Portfolio Monitor)

      choose font, colors, sorting, and location of toolbars (availability depends on toolbar type)

      change the color of study buttons on the chart toolbar

 

To open Toolbar Manager, click the Setup button, then click Customize Toolbar. You can also right-click the area near the application toolbar.

      To add and remove buttons from toolbars. click the Add/Remove button to open the Customize Toolbar window.

      To change the button font, click the Font button to open the Font window.

      To change the color of toolbar buttons, click the Color button to open the Select Toolbar Colors window. You can also change the button style on this window.

      To sort buttons in alphabetical order on the toolbar, click the Sorted check box.

      To move toolbars to the left, right top-left, top-right, bottom-left, or bottom-right, choose a location from the Location drop-down menu.

      To add and remove toolbars from the main window, select or clear the Show/Hide checkboxes.

      To show button behavior when you hover the mouse cursor over the button, select the Show tooltips check box.

To change the color of study buttons

You can improve the visibility and organization of study buttons on the chart toolbar by coloring them individually.

After adding study buttons to the toolbar, click the Color button for Studies on Toolbar Manager. The study buttons on the toolbar are listed in the Color Element section of the Select Studies Toolbar Colors window.

 

To turn on auto-hide toolbars

Toolbars can be configured to hide when you're not using them and to reappear when you place the mouse cursor in the toolbar area. This configuration is set individually for each page.

In the Auto hide toolbars area, select the location of the toolbars you wish to hide. For example, if you select Top, then toolbars at the top of the window are hidden.
