To install CQG on a MacOS computer, we recommend installing Windows as its own partition on your Mac via Bootcamp.
Bootcamp is a free and included MacOS service that allows you to install Windows as a separate and native OS on your Mac (Windows license not included). See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468
Another option is to install CQG on a virtual machine using a third-party software like Parallels or VMWare at the cost of decreased performance and stability.
Although it is possible to use CQG Integrated Client (CQG IC) on computers running Mac OS X®, our software has been developed and tested for use only a PC running Windows. We do not offer support for use on Macs.

Using a Windows Emulator: VMware Fusion Example
An emulator is an application that runs on the Mac and mimics a Windows environment, so that Windows-based software, like CQG, can be used on the Mac. VMware Fusion, Parallels®, and VirtualBox are examples of such software.
This example procedure assumes you have installed VMware Fusion and set up a Windows virtual machine (requires Windows install disk).
1. Open VMWare Fusion, and start Windows. Note that the Mac OS is available in the background, and you can switch between VMware Fusion and other running Mac applications. If Windows fills the entire desktop, VMWare Fusion is in Full Screen mode.
2. To change the display mode, go to the View menu and select Single Window, Full Screen, or Unity. Unity hides the Windows desktop, and displays Windows applications as if they were running in Mac windows.
3. In Single Window or Full Screen mode, start CQG IC just as you would on your PC. In Unity mode, right-click the VMWare Fusion icon to open the Windows start menu and navigate to CQG IC as usual.
4. To end a session, exit CQG IC first and then exit VMWare Fusion.
Using a Remote Desktop Connection
Remote Desktop Connection is a Microsoft tool that allows you to connect through your Mac to a PC running CQG IC in a Windows environment.
The connection between the Mac and PC is established using the name of the remote computer. Proper naming can be achieved by using a static IP address or by using Dynamic DNS. Contact your network administrator or data provider for assistance with computer naming.
1. Install Remote Desktop Connection for Mac.
2. Open Remote Desktop Connection, and type the address of the remote computer.
3. If asked, type the user name and password you use to gain access to your PC.
4. After you log on to the remote computer, its desktop is displayed on the Mac, and you control it using the mouse and keyboard. Note that all Max OS features and programs are accessible in their usual ways.
5. To end a session, exit Remote Desktop Connection, so that CQG IC continues to run on the remote computer.
