XLRT allows you to specify a cell from an Excel sheet and import live data from that cell into CQG IC for charting and analysis or trading. As the data updates in the specified cell, the cell value will update in real time at the current bar and cache the values for as long as the worksheet is open and CQG is running.
Historical values of the XLRT study are not available for reference in expressions, and in this case, they behave differently from other study curves. The study will appear to have a history, but users can only reference the current bar’s current value. If you change the chart type, interval, or symbol, or if you change the page, the cached values displayed will disappear and the study will begin caching values to display from that point.
The XL Real-Time study is included in CQGIC subscriptions enabled for CQG Trading, or Spreader, as well as CQG Spreader systems. The XL Real-Time Study is available to base CQGIC subscriptions at additional cost.
