Setting CAST User Permissions

Each CAST user has associated permissions – set by the FCM – for viewing, modifying, adding, and removing information.

There are four categories of permissions, and each category has sub-categories:

Account Management: account, complex accounts, customer, trader, sales series, and other.

Administration: trader, CAST user, order, FCM, other, and commodity.

Customer Service: account, trader, order, and other.

Risk Management: account, trader, and FCM.

The set of available permissions depends on the CAST user scope based on type of user:

Type of user

Scope

Gateway Administrator (CQG only)

access to all customers, accounts, traders, sales series, and CAST users

FCM Administrator

access to the customers, accounts, traders, sales series, and CAST users that are associated with a particular FCM(s)

Sales Rep

access only to accounts assigned to the sales series

If you attempt to save a modified a page without the necessary permission, a message is displayed above the Refresh button on the CAST window.

For security reasons, you are not able to change your own information or permissions in CAST.

Only administrators can change permissions.
