FCMs are able to use one instance of CAST to manage customers worldwide. Additionally, CAST has a set of location options:
• Accounts > Account Info: Current Location and Risk Server Instance fields display location settings. The default value can be changed by FCM.
• Accounts > Group Account info: Accounts can be added only to a group that has a single location. Accounts cannot be added or removed if a migration request is in progress.
• Traders > Trader Info: Current Location field is used to select the trader’s location.
• Customer Service > Order Details: Order search is location-specific; that is, you can search by database. Orders are marked as coming from the location that the originating account is assigned to.
Before setting up customers, accounts, and traders in CAST, make note of how location is determined for each:
• FCMs are assigned a preferred location by CQG.
• Customers are location-neutral.
• Account location settings are automatically populated, but they can be changed by the FCM.
Initially, if the account does not have a trader associated with it, then the account inherits the FCM location.
If the account does have a trader associated with it, then the account inherits the trader location.
Once a location has been assigned, the location is unavailable and the FCM must submit a migration request through CQG’s FCM Desk.
• Trader locations can be set by the FCM when creating the new trader and can be changed by the FCM when updating trader information.
