Portfolio Monitor and Quote SpreadSheet 2.0 are two of a trio of monitors, a trio that also includes SpreadSheet Trader. CQG also offers an Instrument Monitor.
Quote SpreadSheet 2.0 is a version of Portfolio Monitor that is pre-customized for quotes.
Spreadsheet Trader is a pre-customized trading version of Portfolio Monitor.
In this section, we describe the components and functions of the Portfolio Monitor. They are the same for Quote SpreadSheet 2.0. The only difference between these two monitors and SpreadSheet Trader is that you can trade directly from SpreadSheet Trader.
These monitors, tabbed windows, track multiple instruments across markets in one window. Monitor up to two hundred instruments across five time frames with twenty indicators.
Monitors can be used to emphasize the values of indicators used to make trading decisions. They are especially helpful with asset classes, such as equities, that require you to look at a wide range of instruments to expose opportunities.
Monitors require an enablement.
Click the Monitor button on the application toolbar, and then click Portfolio Monitor.
Or right-click the Monitor button, point to Add Monitor, and then click Portfolio Monitor.
If the Monitor button is not displayed, click the More button, and then click Monitor.
You can also click the Quote button.
To open QSS 2.0
Click the Quote button on the application toolbar, then click QSS 2.0. A Portfolio Monitor prepopulated with quote columns opens.
You can also convert QSS to QSS 2.0.
